Freelance Digital Content Creator

The successful candidate will work closely with our Communications Lead and Content Writer to produce engaging social media content which will help build awareness of the company. It’s a specific brief – with a key deliverable of six pieces of social media content to be delivered within a 4-month period.

Benthyg Cymru is a Community Interest Company which means we are not-for-profit, set up to support and develop libraries of things across Wales. Our first library opened in 2018 and since then the network has grown to 24. From Barry to Bethesda we are championing sharing and community. We want borrowing to be as easy as popping out for a loaf of bread and we are looking for team members committed to our values of innovation, inclusion and community whilst contributing to reducingWales’ carbon footprint.    

Project Brief

Key Responsibilities 

·      Producing six pieces of high-quality content for Benthyg Cymru’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn)

·      Collaborating with our communications and network teams to gather the content

·      Editing the content ensuring its suitable for the above platforms, with direction and sign off from the Communications Lead.

·       Ensure content meets accessibility guidelines

·       Creating bilingual content (Welsh/English)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE  

Required 

·      Experience of shooting and producing videos for social media

·      Experience of creating posts that are effective in reaching target audiences

·      Experience of making bilingual content

·      Someone who can travel around Wales

Desirable 

·      Knowledge of circular economy and community development organisations around Wales 

·      Experience of sustainable initiatives or the circular economy
